Biologist Mauricio Herrera Cuadra is currently a Development Engineer at Yahoo! Inc. and a Professor Assistant for the Biology Career at the Faculty of Superior Studies Iztacala, UNAM. He also works as an independent bioinformatics consultant and is maintainer of some FreeBSD ports, such as:
He previously worked at Yahoo! México while developing the ProSA web interface as his B.S. thesis project. He is interested in promoting the growth of bioinformatics in México and loves to run and climb in the mountains.
He is an administrator of the BioPerl wiki and Pdoc websites as well as the maintainer of the local version of the BioPerl Deobfuscator interface. He has contributed to some articles in this site, some bits of code for the project and some new logo proposals.
