Staden

The Staden Package is a collection of sequencing handling and analysis programs developed at the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology (MRC-LMB), Cambridge, UK, by Rodger Staden and several other developers. In 2003, funding for the Staden Package was discontinued by the MRC, but the source code has recently been released and is now open-source. Recent releases have been handled by James Bonfield. The Staden Package is known to run on most operating systems, including Unix, Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.
