Model organism database
From BioPerl
See also GMOD, model organism databases are resources for a particular organism that is a model for some aspect of biology, be it molecular, developmental, cellular, ecological, or evolutionary. Examples include yeast: SGD, nematode: WormBase, fruitfly: FlyBase, mustard weed: TAIR, dicty: dictyBase.
Many of these sites use tools like Gbrowse and BioPerl to analyze and manage the data about their organisms.
