Co-author of the O'Reilly book on BLAST with Ian Korf and Mark Yandell, Joey was the Director of Bioinformatics for Orion Genomics from 2001 to 2006. In June of 2006, he started as a Principal Scientist in the newly formed Bioinformatics group at Sigma-Aldrich.
