Git Account Request
From BioPerl
Generally you will need a sponsor out of the core team or an existing developer with a long-standing reputation. We will offer Git accounts once you submitted code (patches, modules) to the mailing list, bug tracker, etc. and that code shows you understand BioPerl architecture and coding guidelines.
Usually it will be your sponsor who will submit the ticket for you to receive an account. She will be asked to provide the following information, so make her life easier by sending it to her in advance.
Full Name: Organization/Institution/Employer: Working email address: Existing or desired unix username: Project/Git affiliation: bioperl
Note the last item is up to your sponsor to decide, but for bioperl there aren't many options :-)
