The HIV Databases use many PERL scripts for handling DNA and protein sequence data, multiple sequence alignments, and phylogentic analyses. Many of our scripts could be useful to the broader bioprel community, but we have not yet (as of May 2006) participated heavily in the bioperl project. I hope to become more familiar with this project, and encourage the other HIV-DB staff to contribute.
